T-Roc Black Edition adds style and equipment to a successful SE model
Trim adds more than £2,000 of equipment for a small step up in price
Striking specification priced at £23,750 RRP OTR for 115 PS 1.0 TSI
Milton Keynes – The Volkswagen T-Roc has been given an added dose of style with the introduction of a new Black Edition trim level, adding black-colored trim and features to the interior and exterior of the model, as well as value-boosting additional equipment.
Following on from the Touareg in receiving a stylish Black Edition trim in its line-up, the T-Roc Black Edition brings a sleek black-finish to its grille trim, door mirror caps, roof rails and exhaust pipes, as well as adding rear privacy glass, an eye-catching geometric decal on the car’s C-pillar, 18-inch ‘Arlo Black’ alloy wheels and LED headlights.
On the inside, the black theme continues, with ‘Piano Black’ dash pads, black roof lining, leather-wrapped gear shift knob and multifunction sports steering wheel with contrasting grey stitching, white ambient lighting, and footwell illumination.
When specified individually the additional equipment would cost in excess of £2,000, and so the new model represents a considerable value boost, especially when combined with the extra style delivered by the Black Edition-exclusive accessories. As per the rest of the T-Roc range, the Black Edition is available with a host of options to further personalize and add to the equipment list of each car, with Vienna leather upholstery, a ‘beats’ audio sound pack and sports suspension among the available options. The T-Roc Black Edition starts at £23,750 RRP OTR for the 1.0-liter, 115 PS TSI model.
The newcomer builds upon the package offered by the T-Roc SE – itself the top-selling trim in the T-Roc range – standard equipment for which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, front and rear parking sensors, electrically heated and foldable door mirrors with integrated puddle lights, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.
The T-Roc Black Edition is available exclusively in front-wheel drive, and features 1.0- and 1.5-litre TSI petrol, and 1.6- and 2.0-litre TDI diesel engines, with 115 and 150 PS outputs respectively. Despite being a Black Edition, the T-Roc’s vibrant color palette remains, meaning ten colors are available to complement the Black Edition’s sleek black add-ons, including Turmeric Yellow, Ravenna Blue, Energetic Orange, Deep Black Pearl, and Flash Red.
Claire Haynes, T-Roc Product Manager at Volkswagen UK, said: “The T-Roc, with its focus on personalization and individuality, already has abundant style. The Black Edition builds upon this, with its exclusive black-colored trim and C-pillar decal adding an even more eye-catching edge to the funky T-Roc.
“Add to this a package of extra equipment that boosts value by over £2,000 and you’ve got a car that isn’t just appealing because of its looks but, because it’s a fantastic value package, is also a talented all-rounder.”
