FTC DISCLOSURE

The FTC decided that online publishers need to disclose any hidden interests or unspoken biases to their readers when they publish product reviews and/or recommendations. As always, I want to be transparent and straightforward with you, so below is our Product Review Policy and FTC Disclosure.

We’ll provide a link to this disclosure in every future written product review, and also provide a link in the video description of future social media videos i.e. YouTube, IGTV, Facebook etc. videos reviews for your reading pleasure.

Disclosure of Material Connection: Some of the links in my post & video descriptions are “affiliate links.” This means if you click on the link and purchase the item, I will receive an affiliate commission. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will add value to my viewers/readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.” These FTC guidelines are available online. (Specifically, §255.5: Disclosure of Material Connections.)

AFFILIATED MARKETING COMPANIES & OTHERS I.E. AMAZON

For the convenience of our readers and viewers, we will provide links (and sometimes other retailer or company website product links) for the items & services we review and talk about in our articles & videos. I may receive a small percentage sales commission if you choose to use our links to purchase a product. We make every attempt to find the best prices for products on the internet and other websites that we link to, however, it is impossible to guarantee this.

On 02/18/2019, I recently started to participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

FREE SAMPLES

Some companies may provide us with free samples of their product. By providing a free sample they are not guaranteed a review or posting. If the product is terrible, we will simply won't review it and upon request and provided pre-paid postage, will return the product to the company. Even with a free sample, I will provide my honest thoughts about the product. My thoughts and opinion of the product are my own.

DIRECT REFERRAL PROGRAMS / FREE PRODUCT

Some companies/manufacturers have direct referral programs. If you choose to use our links to purchase a product, we do receive a credit towards a free product directly from the manufacturer. At no time, will this persuade my opinion of the product? My thoughts and opinion of the product are my own.

PRODUCT REVIEW POLICY

 In general, we only write positive things about the products we actually like.

 Yes, most of our reviews are mostly positive. That’s because if we don’t like a product much, we simply don’t review it. We think that there are enough products out there, that there’s no need to waste our time or the time of our readers or viewers on poorly designed products that we don’t like.

 We do buy some of our own products for review, however, this can become fairly costly. So we do accept product samples from manufacturers, company representatives or PR firm, and we most often keep sample whether we review the product that is sent or not.

 Whether we review a product that is submitted to us, or not, it is at our sole discretion.

 We make NO promises to manufacturers or their representatives to review their products or to review them favorably.

 We try very hard to be fair and consistent in our reviews and ratings.

 From time to time we may allow companies to sponsor reviews. If a review is sponsored, I will acknowledge the sponsor in some way within the context of the review or at the least in the video description on YouTube. Even if the video is sponsored, it does not mean that I endorse the product. If I like the product, I will say I do, If I don't I will say that too.

 From time to time we may allow companies the opportunity to sponsor giveaways and contests. Generally, we only give away a product that we like, however, our contests do not constitute our endorsement of the product/s being given away.
