Luxury supercar maker McLaren Automotive has retailed its 1,000th new vehicle in Canada, less than a decade after the brand first opened its doors in the country in 2012.
The 1,000th unit, an Onyx Black 2020 720S Coupe, neatly mirrors the first McLaren delivered in Canada, a Black 2012 McLaren 12C. Both were delivered from McLaren Toronto, the country’s first McLaren retail point.
From 2013 to 2019, the McLaren brand has shown consistent and impressive sales growth, fueled by an expanding product line as well as additional locations in Vancouver (2014) and Montreal (2017). Pfaff Automotive Partners, based in Toronto, serves as the brand’s importer and also owns the Toronto and Vancouver retail locations.
“The 1,000th new car delivery was a wonderfully positive end-point to a challenging year in 2020,” said Christopher Pfaff, President & CEO of Pfaff Automotive Partners. “We are so happy to be associated with the McLaren brand and its people. Across our company, we are all passionate motorsports enthusiasts, and love what the McLaren brand stands for – a commitment to industry-leading technology, high performance, and constant innovation. Moreover, as a manufacturer, they are open, transparent, and fast-moving.”
